Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
Name is Tariro Chigudu aged 32, married to a beautiful wife called Kasandra. I come from a family of 5, myself being the 5th one. I have 3 brothers and 1 sister.
Who is Tariro outside of work?
Tariro is a very chilled easy-going guy. I’m generally not loud, I like to keep to myself mostly, but I refuse to think that I’m boring like some people think 😊 because I don’t drink.
I recently (a couple of years ago) started road running and I’m enjoying it. I’ve done quite a good number of races and I’m planning to do my debut Comrades Marathon in 2021.
What does your role entail at Itec Tiyende?
In simple terms, I analyse internal financial reports and processes, to aid the decision-making process and thus help achieve both short- and long-term business goals, overseeing the processing of deals within Tiyende.
Describe a typical day at the office for you.
A typical day is me sitting in the office, seeking ways of curbing expenses and making sure deals are processed timeously and accurately.
What are some of the challenges and most satisfying aspects of your role?
Challenges are when you need to deal with a difficult and unanticipated query, the most satisfying aspect on the other hand is when you manage to successfully do it. Another satisfying aspect is when you see positive results being achieved by the business stemming from your recommendation.
What stands out for you at Itec Tiyende?
The culture and the people: when it’s work time we work hard, and when it’s play time we play hard too.

Keeping calm, working hard and willingness to learn.
